Kien Lieu aka “Donger” was born in Vietnam & grew up in San Diego. The most prominent Asian American Skateboarder in the world is best known for his super-high ollies. Skateboarding has been a very important part of his life and sees it as a true form of art, combining mind, body and spirit.
He first began his artistic career at the age of 15, venturing in to the world of skateboarding. 4 years later he turned professional and was given his own skateboard pro-model by the legendary company, H-Street. Since then he has been sponsored by Puma, Vans, Life, Planet Earth, Maple & Dynasty. “Dynasty Skateboards” is the company he created and imparted lots of spiritual concept & design. He is highly influenced by Bruce lee, Chuang-tzu & lao-tzu, the great Chinese predecessors who gave Kien lots of meaning in life as he learned its’ theory & philosophy.
His trademark, super-long double braids, is an expression of his humanism background as he exercises life, the physical and spiritual relation of his being.
